Today is the Full Moon in Taurus. While the Full Moon happens each month, the Taurus Full Moon only happens at this time of year when the Sun is in Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 22nd).
The Full Moon occurs for us when the Sun and Moon are in opposite zodiac signs; this places the Earth in the middle. Consequently as one is rising the other is setting, e.g. at Sunrise the Moon is setting, or at Moon rise the Sun is setting. That is why when it is a Full Moon it is wonderful to experience the Sunset and Moon rise at opposing horizons.
The Moon is in its placement of strength in Taurus, in Astrology we refer to this as being exalted. The energy of the Moon is easily expressed through this sign. Taurus is where we have security, comfort, reward, stability and familiarity. It likes routine, low-risk activities and plenty of good food and beverages. The Moon is where we create emotional comfort, soul nourishment and parental nurturing. With the Moon we learn how to look after ourselves, how to care for others and how to create a warm and loving home. In Taurus this is easy and totally enjoyable.
Putting these two together we see this is a great time for a dinner party, for creating comfortable spaces to relax and be rewarded with yummy food. It is a wonderful time to make your home feel great with added touches of sensual rewards – aroma oils burning, flowers in your bedroom and colourful table settings, adding to this the aroma of delicious meals cooking and relaxing into comfortable furniture.
Overall this is a fantastic Moon to reward ourselves with home comforts. Yippee!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend celebrating the Full Moon in Taurus.
