As with all New Moons they set the mood for the month that will follow. The planetary positions at this time are included in setting the theme.
With Uranus in Aries being only a couple of degrees from the New Moon (Sun and Moon) it indicates this month can be highly energized with spontaneous activities. This is a great time to stretch out our capacity with taking on new experiences or breaking into new ground. Outdoor activities and adventures are highly recommended as a way to explore more of life and our locations. Allow a little spice to colour up your day!
With Pluto and Mars together, both moving through Capricorn, it marks a significant time to be productive, get tasks completed, and have plans to work with. These two planets rule Scorpio, indicating the added pressure that is on us all at this time – the intensity has increased. Wherever Scorpio sits in your birthchart, by quadrant and by house, will show where this intensity is being focused. The demands are high, the challenge is upon us and the pressure is unavoidable. Some people, those strong with Scorpio, thrive on pressure, while others find it uncomfortable. With these two planets combining forces it will show you your preference of the heat! Do you like the intensity or do you resist it? Having a challenge is a great use of this energy. It’s best you choose this or life will choose it for you!
Mercury went direct on Sunday 15th April and is now making its way through the degrees of Aries that it has just traveled retrograde over. Here we are seeing the benefits of the work we have recently been dealing with. By May 3rd we would have caught up with it all.
In this week Chiron moved into Aries (April – Sept & then again from Feb 2019 – 2026) – a time for us to pay attention to the power of self negativity. Through our own thinking, our attitude to ourselves and the doubt we self impose we create huge limitations for our progress. It’s time to shake this habit off – rather than thinking I can’t, I haven’t or I don’t or won’t it’s time to shift our thinking to the positive – I can, I will and I am. Just by turning our thoughts to the positive reference we will generate more energy for our projects. So instead of saying “I haven’t the time to deal to the task”, we can change that to “I am making the time to deal to the task”.
Saturn went retrograde on the 18th April – of all of the planets retrograde I find this one the easiest as Saturn likes to be introspective, reserved and isolating, which are the qualities of retrograde. The only catch here is to watch out for loading ourselves with too much to do. It is moving through Capricorn – Saturn rules this, so time management is the key to our success. It marks a great time to review our plans, to sort through the priorities of our list and to ground ourselves in tasks that require dedication and thoroughness. Saturn will turn into direct motion in Sept.
Finally in this busy week we have the Sun moving into Taurus 20th April. The Sun is our life force energy and here it is steady, solid, liking comfort and simplicity. Opt for a routine that helps you to stay on track, eat well and sleep deeply. Find the measures of nourishment that are right for you and stick with them. Just like the bull and cows in the paddock nothing is rushed, all is well timed, familiarity is important, trust is essential and simplicity is the best there is.
Wishing you all a happy month.
